Summer Camps

Character Building

While a summer filled with fun is always our goal, we also strive to create programs that develop character in each child during the process.  Our program includes activities that teach team work, positive thinking, goal setting, hard work, honesty and much more.

Devotions

Daily devotions are a must in our summer program.  During this time each morning, we reflect on all we have for which to be thankful.  It is a time we remind every child they are a beloved child of God, and challenge them to live loving God and others in all they do.

Swimming

One of our greatest summer activities that takes place each day is group swimming!  Safety is first at The Learning Tree pool, and one way we ensure this is by having certified life guards on duty at all times.  Kids from age two to age eleven have the opportunity to enjoy swim time in our kid friendly pool!  With a depth of only two feet, our younger kids are able to stand up and walk around as they enjoy the coolness of the water in the summer heat.  After completion of a swim test, our older more exprienced kids are able to enjoy the deeper five foot section which is perfect for cannon balls!

Field Trips
Field trips are a huge part of the Learning Tree Academy Summer program.  We work to provide a variety of off campus activities that are both fun and affordable!  Some of our trips are to places close by like Henderson Falls Park for games and a picnic lunch, while others are further away and more adventurous like our trips to The Dahlonega Gold Mine and Stone Mountain Park.

Summer 2016 "SHOW YOUR TRUE COLORS"!
This year our summer theme is "Show Your True Colors"!  Our purpose behind this theme is to help each child learn and grow in their character development.  Throughout the summer, each child will be exploring "The Six Pillars of Character".  These pillars include trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.  Our age appropriate curriculum will introduce these very important parts of our temperment which will encourage each child to have a solid social-emotional foundation.
